The corporation is pursuing higher performance for the maximum profit. Therefore, the employees of the corporation are demanded to possess higher performance which is guaranted by their job satisfaction. Increasing the employees' job satisfaction can bring the corporation some active effect, so people pay more and more attention to it nowadays. Aiming at how to improve work performance, this research will investigate the relationships of job satisfaction, satisfaction fountainhead and work performance, then find out the way to increase work performance and job satisfaction. This is the main idea and logic of the research. As the basic of the whole research, I first reviewed and summed up former researches. Combining with the practice of sports products retail chains, a research frame including satisfaction fountainhead, job satisfaction and work performance was constructed. Relevant research assumptions were brought forward and the main design of the research was nailed down. Employees of certain corporation were regarded as research objects, and the research was carries through questionnaire investigation. In the data analysis, the relationship between satisfaction fountainhead, job satisfaction and work performance was discussed through Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, Bivariate Correlations Analysis, Linear Regression Analysis and soon.Through the research, we come to several conclusions as follows:1. "Motivating factor"(emphasizing particularly on individual accomplishment) and "hygiene factor"(emphasizing particularly on emolument return , social relationship, ascription, etc) actually existed that can influence job satisfaction. It is in line with Fredrick Herzberg's Two Factor Theory.. In addition, to most of the employees in the case, "motivating factor" contributes more to job satisfaction than "hygiene factor" does. "Motivating factor" is the main factor which influences job satisfaction.2. Otherwise, through the research we discover that education, age and position have notable influence on job satisfaction. It is in line with Yu Wenzhao's research (1996) on 128 employees of joint venture Corporation that discovered that age, education and position have notable influence on job satisfaction. However, in this research we haven't found out that gender and the time employees started the job have notable influence on job satisfaction.3. In this case, to the bottom-level employees of the physical things multiple shops, "hygiene factor" contributes more to work performance than "motivating factor" does. "Hygiene factor" is the main factor which influences work performance, Yet to the middle-level employees, "motivating factor" contributes more to "task performance" than "hygiene factor", while it contributes less to "contextual performance" than "hygiene factor" does;to the high-level employees, "motivating factor" contributes more to "work performance" than "hygiene factor" does. This is in line with Shen Jie's conclusion of the relationship between job satisfaction and work performance that made from the research on intellectual employees (2003). From thechange of the position hereinbefore, we can tell that with the advance of position, the contribution of "motivating factor" to work performance gradually grows greater and finally becomes the dominant factor. In this process, the contribution of "hygiene factor" to work performance gradually grows weaker, and the weakening of hygiene factor's contribution to "task performance" is faster than the weakening of hygiene factor's contribution to "contextual performance". We also educe a relevant regress equation and describe the degree of its contribution and process quantificationally.
