Since Taylor's science management, it was sought for all methods on production and operation. There are several methods to come out, such as Order Point, Economic Order Quantity, MRP material resources plan, JIT Just In Time, etc. These new methods help to optimize the production process, and promote the production efficiency of enterprise. The present thesis analyzes the current production process flow, and discusses lean production concepts and implementation in details; it study advantages and disadvantages of different production mode with the integration of one laundry plant actual situation thoroughly.The present thesis is to apply for the basic principles and methods of industrial engineering onto A type washer assembly line in this laundry plant by assaying production process; to analyze and improve each operations of this assembly line by using operation improvement methods; to promote assembly efficiency and availability with balance of assembly line.The present thesis is to reform the current assembly line by using consigning production and transfer line according to according to lean production concepts. It simulates the new scheme by using eM-plant software; and it comes out that the consigning production is more suitable to the washer assembly line by studying completed quantity, cycle time and workpieces in process of each operation, comparing simulation results. Basing on this study, it puts forward a new scheme. There are three innovations in this thesis: lean production new application on multi-kinds, small batch production; comparing with consigning production and transfer line; simulating by eM-plant software.Finally, it analyzes four advantages of this new scheme: to save floor space; to promote average production capacity; to shorten production lead time; to decrease quantity of workpiece in process. It also provides the analysis results of comparing with apparent and potential effects from economic point. This thesis is an example for other similar manufacturing assembly process on computer simulation.
