The Proliferation Of Technological Innovation In The Equipment Manufacturing Industry Cluster

The definition of "Industrial Cluster" introduced in "The Competitive Advantage of Nations", by Michael E. Porter, published in 1990, carried out a series of analysis about impact on national competitiveness through industrial cluster, and brought us a lot of research on industrial cluster. Nowadays, as a portion of regional economy, industrial cluster becomes more and more important, and competition between regional economies generally relies on productive method and efficiency in different industrial clusters. Therefore, industrial cluster is running a key role in global industrial value chain. It is important to promote the development of industrial cluster for increasing strength of regional economy and even competitiveness of nations.Past research shows, diffusion of technology innovation is the best way and more rational option to achieve a progressive industrial cluster and maintain competitive advantage of it. There is a self-enhanced relationship for boosting each other between industrial cluster and diffusion of technology innovation. Innovative activities, such as spillover of knowledge and diffusion of technology, are concentrating industrial locations while accelerating industrial concentration in industrial cluster is propitious to formation of regionally innovative networks. Therefore, this paper introduces diffusion of technology innovation as an effective approach into the aggregation of activities about industrial clusters.In China, there are a lot of great development on industrial cluster, such as the high-tech industrial cluster in Zhong Guan Chun Science Park, Beijing, the extroversive machining industrial cluster in Dong Guan, Guang Dong province, and the industrial clusters of civil SMEs in Wen Zhou, Zhe Jiang province etc. Nevertheless, generally, it is still not balanceable on the development of industrial cluster in China. Those more developed industrial clusters are related to those enterprises with low technology and low-end production.
