A New Socialist Countryside Construction

Titled as "The Construction of New Socialistic Countryside: An Investigation of Daur Farmers' Living Actuality in MLDW", the thesis consists of the introduction, the text and the conclusion. There are five chapters in the text.In the introduction, it mainly demonstrates the practical significances and academic values of the subject selection. Taking Daur Farmers' lives in MLDW as a clue, the author objectively describes their real living actuality through which to recognize how Daur farmers live and how they change and continuously adapt to the transforming lives. Through an ethnological vision, based on the former researches, the thesis takes the "micro" perspective to perceive the "macro" and participating observation. The author practiced the field works on the politics, economy, culture, and especially the living actuality and relevant problems in Daur Farmers' society. Under the "macro" background, the author tries to obtain new materials and recognitions; meanwhile, the author intends to dynamically treat the ethnical cultures from the concrete and active reality.In the first chapter, "the general situation of Daur ethnic", taking the historical development as a clue, the author generalizes the natural ecological environments and ethnical construction of Daur ethnic in different periods, and discusses the ethnical origins and historical immigration procedures of Daur ethnic.In the second chapter, "political lives", the author demonstrates the construction and development of Daur ethnical regional autonomy system, and mainly discusses the ethnical cadres' cultivation and basic party organizations' construction and certain relevant political institutions under the guidance of the theories of the construction of the new socialistic countryside.In the third chapter, "economical lives", the author demonstrates Daur farmers' agricultural productive modes, including the adjusting of planting structures, the genres of the crops, melioration of the genres, andthe dissemination and progress of agricultural machines, which display the development of Daur agricultural industry. Through the "house visit" in village Arla, the author practiced the profound "individual" interviews and describe directly and clearly Daur farmers' living actuality and certain relevant problems.In the fourth chapter, "cultural lives", the author fist introduces the new residence of the immigrants. Then, the author analyzes the "winter leisure" which is popular in Daur ethnic and tries to discuss the farmers' cultural living situations under the entire "northeast countryside".In the fifth chapter, "problems and countermeasures", the author emphasizes on the main problems in Daur countryside, such as diseases, poverty, and local basic education, ect..In "conclusion", to those problems in Daur countryside, the author proposes certain suggestions and indicates that with the development of the construction of new socialistic countryside, what directions Daur farmers' political, economical, and cultural lives will go along.In a word, with fifty-year experiences in new found China, as an ancient ethnic living in the north of China, Daur ethnic has been in a new social developing phase after the hard adapting procedures. In the context of cultural pluralism and globalization, Daur ethnic faces new adaptations and challenges. We hope that more people who care about the ethnical regional development could walk into MLDW, the Daur villages, and the Daur farmers' lives.
