Pharmaceutical Distribution Supply Chain Information Sharing Applied Research

The economic globalization and information technology fundamentally change the relationship between the internal and the external of pharmaceutical enterprises, especially the capability of all parties in the supply chain in terms of their information management, information sharing as well as the speed and capacity of data processing, which indicate the potential and level of development of modern pharmaceutical enterprises. After undergoing the planned economy period and transitional period from planned economy to market economy and centralized period, Chinese Pharmaceutical enterprises still suffering the problems of large in numbers, small scales, lack of industry concentration, high cost of circulation as well as weak information foundation.Based on the theories of supply chain, supply chain management and information sharing, this article summarizes the situation and features of information sharing in the supply chain of pharmaceutical logistic companies in developed countries and shares their success stories. Apart from that, it also expound present situation of all parties in the Chinese pharmaceuticalcirculation including manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and retailers in the respect of the supply chain information sharing. Furthermore, it provides penetrating insight into the problems and influencing factors of information construction and sharing that the enterprises at each link of supply chain may have and proposes corresponding practical solutions. The aim of this article is to help Chinese pharmaceutical logistic enterprises to achieve the goal of full set of information sharing.On the basis of above in-depth theoretical analysis, this article makes an empirical analysis concerning the KY's completed information development course, from its initial stage of the carrying out of advancing technology platform- SAP NetWeaver, the realization of the internal master data sharing, till the seamless integration of business data and financial data, respective information sharing of upstream and downstream customers in supply-chain, as well as the establishment of different cooperative models with upstream and downstream customers.
