Automobile panel is made up of the car engine, the chassis, cab and the surface components of car body. It includes external panel and internal panel. In the process of the automotive panel mould's design, the design of the standard part plays an important role in the whole mould design. Because automobile panel is often space surface structure with complex shape, and it also requires high precision, high surface quality and high process requirements. This determines the automobile panel mould often have complex structures, involving many parts, which makes the mould design very inefficient. Standard parts account for a large proportion in the panel mould parts, in the process of design, extracting and classifying them to establish intelligent design system of standard part for panel mould to achieve precise position for standard parts, automatic management of standard parts'data, create standard parts largely and automatically, automatic assembly, flexible edition and modification, improving the efficiency of mould design .On the basics of the the analysis of the structure and the specific mould design process of the panel mould, the author extract and sort the various standard parts which meets the requirements of the automobile manufacture enterprise, and create the three-dimensional solid model and the template file of the standard parts, and store the various information of the standard parts in the database. Do research on intelligent selection of standard parts, intelligent location of standard parts and intelligent creation of standard parts and the method of edition and change for standard parts. This subject use the UG as the development platform with the secondary development technology of to establish a UG style and good interactive user interface system, with the feature modeling technology, database technology and geometric related technology to develop a intelligent system of standard part which meets the requirements of the automobile manufacture enterprises, also do some correlative tests and finish the acceptance of enterprises.
