Hi-Fi printing is a technology to add other primary colors such as orange (O)and green (G) red (R), green (G), blue (B) to increase the reproduction quality. Inimage reproduction field, the reappearance of tone, color and Definition are3main critical factors which affect quality of printing reproduction. However, theregular CMYK printing process is very difficult to reappearance the tone rangeand color appearance of the natural world, and the key process affect the qualityin reproduction is the color separation method. In order to improve the quality ofreproduction, the Hi-Fi color separation method was produced, In this paper, anew Hi-Fi color separation algorithm was proposed to meet the demand. Theresearch can be applied on the reproduction of fine paintings, photos.The main research contents of this paper include:(1) Existing high-fidelity color separation type was researched, to establishthe basic framework of the new color separation algorithm;(2) Existing printing color separation algorithm was research, provide atheoretical basis for the new high-fidelity color separation algorithmdesign;(3) A new high-fidelity color printing color separation algorithm was proposed,and both MATLAB and JAVA programming language productionCMYKRGB7color ICC profile;(4) The subjective and objective evaluation method was combined to verifythe technical feasibility of separation model and color separationaccuracy.The main innovations of this paper include:①A new7-color separationalgorithm based on polynomial regression equation was proposed. The colorpartition theory was used, combined with the 'mid-color' and gamut mappingalgorithm to establish a CMYKRGB multicolor separation based on polynomialregression algorithm.②The7-color separation model established finally was usedto create multi-color ICC profile in the form of multidimensional LUT.
