With the continuous development of computer technology,digital printing technology developed rapidly.digital color images have been widely used in people’s daily lives.Different digital media equipment and printing media have different color reproduction range and color principle,so their color gamut size and shape are different,this makes it difficult to achieve high fidelity reproduction of color information during transmission.In order to achieve high-fidelity printing,purposeful intervention is required during color transfer,this is gamut mapping.Gamut mapping is a key technique to ensure that the color conversion results match the vision.In the color reproduction process,gamut mapping is the use of certain mathematical operations to convert color from one color space to another.Gamut mapping includes device based gamut mapping and gamut mapping based on digital images.In the process of cropping or compressing the image gamut,the size relation between the digital image and the output device color gamut is considered in color gamut mapping based on image.In this process,it is necessary to accurately and effectively perform the visualization of the color gamut between the image and the device.The appropriate color gamut mapping method can be selected according to the range of the color field of the digital image,so that the color reproduction result can be obtained better.In this paper,a method of visualization of Ultra Color Gamut in digital image based on the partition maximization algorithm is proposed.First of all,using the color transfer information in the digital output device feature file,the boundary points of the device gamut are obtained,generate accurate device color gamut,in this time,the exact device gamut is generated simultaneously.Then,after comparing it with the digital image gamut,the image Ultra Color Gamut point set is obtained,and then the hypo-color field part will be displayed in the digital image and the image color gamut according to the hypo-color gamut set.Finally,the digital image after the ultra-color field processing is compared with the result of the photoshop color gamut warning.This proposed method is effective and stable.This method can help to predict whether the digital image is ahead of the digital output device color gamut,and select the appropriate color gamut mapping algorithm according to the result of the super color gamut,so as to realize the accurate reproduction of the color.
