At present, waste, producing in the process of rapidly improved industry and our advanced daily life, exerts huge pressure to our environment. How to deal with these wastes and utilize these wastes effectively is a developmental direction of recycling economy and society evolution.Burning is one of the main ways of disposing sludge at present. The ash of burnt sludge has many characteristics such as large porosity and specific surface area which is considered to the benefit of using as absorbent or hypersorber. According to the characteristics of sludge, this paper studies the potential of sludge with addition of Ca for an adsorbent of SO2.Firstly, the desulfurization efficiency of desulfurating agent prepared by ash of sludge in a fixed bench reactor and the desulfurizing capability of different reaction temperature and different desulfurating agent which was produced at different burning temperature have benn studied. The results show that the best of preparing adsorbent is burning in 550℃after mixturing the wet sludge ash with CaO.Secondly, a desulphurization experiment has been studied in a semi-dry desulfurization system in the laboratory. The results show that the desulphurization efficiency of adsorbent is 96.4% in the case of 60℃temperature, 5% humidity and 150 circulation ratio. Finally, a absorption tower of wet desulphurization, including flue gas preheating system, reactor system, grout circulation system, grout sprinkler system, oxidation system was used to test the de-SO2 efficiency. The results show that the best efficiency is 98.4% in the gas temperature of 125℃.
