Electroslag Remelting (ESR) technology is a main method of special metallurgy. ESR ingot has high pure, structure dense and favorable mechanical character and becomes high-grade steel and special steel. It has extensive used in aviation, astronavigation, war industry and energy industry. In order to gain high quality ESR ingot, electrode feed rate should be controlled accurately Therefore, it is hot question in electroslag metallurgy domain.This hydraulic system designed in my paper with traditional electroslag furnace hydraulic control systems. All the movable body drive systems are hydraulic actuators. In addition to electrode clamp and car mobile hydraulic systems, the electrode movements, mold lifting platform power system also used hydraulic system as a power plant, in order to simplify the structure of mechanical equipment, reducing equipment failure rates, improve equipment reliability, and make it easy to operate and maintain.Using electro-hydraulic proportional control technology, combined with computer control technology, according to the technical and characteristics of ESR using modern intelligent control technology, the speed of the electrode and the mold platform is controlled of high frequency and high-precision, and then melting speed is controlled precisely. Response and the melting speed control system can increase the times compared to the mechanical system level due to the use of electro-hydraulic proportional control technology, and the technology is currently the world's first.The main components of electro-hydraulic proportional control system were modeled, the speed control system model of electro-hydraulic proportional is established and its simulation test is done. Design a PID controller; calibrate the model, and tuning PID parameters, simulation results show that the PID correction system meets the system design requirements.Establish dimensional model of electroslag furnace mechanical system using 3D solid modeling software Pro/E. The dynamic model of electrode clamp device is established using dynamic simulation software ADAMS, and the simulation results show that the model is realistic. Doing some strength check of parts of electroslag furnace mechanical structure of using the ANSYS software, the results show that the structure is designed to meet the requirements.
