Today the petrochemical enterprises face very great challenges due to the world oil prices volatile. Enhancing the production efficiency and reducing unit energy consumption are urgent tasks for oil refineries to make the benefit maximization. Lubricant is one of the four major petroleum products; ketone-benzene dewaxing is the key step to product high quality lubricant base oil. During the whole ketone-benzene dewaxing process, the solvent recovery system's energy consumption accounts for about 50%~60% of the total energy consumption. Therefore it becomes the target to optimize operation and further reduce energy consumption for refining enterprises. This paper studies the characteristics of the solvent recovery system for ketone-benzene dewaxing device. The method of pseudo-components is used. ASPEN PLUS process simulation software is applied to simulate calibrated working conditions which concern the filtrate, the oil containing the wax and the wax liquid solvent recovery system respectively. It is gotten that the model of ketone-benzene dewaxing device solvent recovery system which is in compliance with the actual operation modes. This model is conformed by the industrial calibrated data. Finally the tower's operational load and energy consumption is gotten. The paper further study three-way Evaporation technology and heat exchange network. It is used sensitivity analysis method to get the influences of operational conditions change on the heating load and other factors change.Through the further research of process, it is found out the optimizing operation point which will reduce the energy consumption of the device. Through the research of the heat exchange network, by increasing the key heat exchanger area, the energy consumption of the dewaxed oil, oil containing wax and refined wax system will fall down 37.8%,53.1% and 36.6%.
