The reliability level of domestic high-speed precision press has become an important factor which is constraining the development of punching machine. This paper started from the analysis of failure generation mechanism, analyzed the weaknesses in the system, and studied the key technologies of reliability analysis for complex equipment.First this paper analyzed the structure and function of all systems. On this basis, all the failure modes were classified and defined, meanwhile, the distribution model of all systems and the block diagram of transmission system were established.Transmission operation failure and crankshaft failure were chosen to be the research objectives, and using FTA method to research all the basic events that can lead to these two failure modes. Based on the results, the most impact device of the transmission system and the most serious damage to the crankshaft were identified.The structure and working principle of the key equipment had been researched; all the possible failure of the device had been analyzed, then the failure mode and effect table was established. The risk priority number was calculated by using risk evaluation in failure mode and effects analysis using fuzzy weighted geometric mean, and the necessary measures were developed to reduce the occurrence of dangerous failure.The transmission system had been established and the flexible crankshaft model had been created, then the system operation was simulated and the crankshaft load curve was obtained. On this basis, the weak links of the crankshaft was analyzed by using failure analysis sofrware and appropriate measures were developed to improve the crankshaft reliability.
