The shear of the metal plate and strip is the important processing steps inthe rolling production line, due to shear deformation of the material isconcentrated in a small area shear is a multi-scale and interdisciplinary problem,it not only related to the mechanics, materials science, physics and chemistryand other disciplines, but also the other complex factors such as the deformationof workpiece, material properties (including composition elements,microstructure, inclusions, surface conditions and homogeneity, etc.) andprocess parameters (temperature, deformation speed, friction and lubrication,etc.) which affected the fracture in the metal shearing process. Because theimproper choice of the shearing process parameters in the production processoften led to poor quality of steel plate and low efficiency, the enterprise'scompetitiveness in the market greatly reduced.This article rely on the project of Shanxi Overseas Scholarship Fund,analysis working principle, working process and the shear principle of rollingshear, discuss the empirical formula and theoretical formula of the rolling shearblade clearance. The original clearance formula was derived by the geometricanalysis of the movement of drum type linear blade flying shear and drum typespiral blade flying shear. The shear force calculation formula of rolling shear,drum type linear blade flying shear and drum type spiral blade flying shear werediscussed and derived by the analysis of metal shear principle. By numericalsimulation, the work was provided useful and accurate. The achievementprovided practical theoretical basis for the correct choice of the metal plate andstrip process parameters, and had great theoretical and practical and usefulsignificance.
