Study On Water Damage And Preventive Measures Of Highway Asphalt Pavement In Gansu Province

Water damage of expressway asphalt pavement is a very prevalent phenomenon. The precaution measures must be comprehensive and systemic for so many incentives of water damage. In this paper, it has been done that the survey of water damage of expressway asphalt pavement in Gansu province, undertook an analysis to its cause of formation, as well as put forward the preventing measures. The determination of the best dose of admixtures has been done by water stability experiment with unaged asphalt mixture, and the determination of the admixture with the best anti-aging capability also has been done by water stability experiment with aged asphalt mixture mix with the best dose of admixture. It also has been done that the water stability experiment of different maximum normal size, which used to name the void ratio standards of different maximum normal size.The research result has the important practical significance to decrease or delay the water damage and gain more life-span of bituminous pavement.
