Ride comfort is an important factor to affect high speed multiple unit operation quality, evaluated and analyzed by comprehensive comfort instead of traditional sperling and comfort value, it has a great significance for introduction, digestion, absorption and innovation of multiple unit technology in China. Comprehensive comfort tests many kinds of parameters including wind speed and direction, used to track operation status of multiple unit. Multiple unit test is in the stage of research and probe in China, test scheme design and instruments development are all belong to brand new topics, to design a wind speed and direction test system which meet the requirement can ensure the reliability of test data. In addition, the system also can apply in a variety of harsh environments for observing wind speed and direction, providing a feasible solution for the wind measurement technology.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing wind speed and direction test equipments, this article gives the system block diagram which meet the design requirements, using modular design method for the software and hardware design. System completes sensor detection signal input, conditioning, storage and liquid crystal display, by means of file system to manage collected data, liquid crystal module instead of upper computer software to realize dynamic waveform display, reserved for a variety of interfaces to facilitate extensions. The system has good man-machine interface, high degree of intelligence and flexible size, can easily complete the multi-points data acquisition.System design first introduce the principle of common wind sensors, mainly including pitot tube sensor, thermal sensor, mechanical sensor and ultrasonic sensor, and analyze the characteristics of various types of sensors, determining to select mechanical sensor by comprehensive consideration; secondly, hardware circuit design builds hardware platform using STM32 microcontroller with high-performance as core, function with signal acquisition and processing, SD card data storage, TFT liquid crystal display and RS232 communication, to achieve tracking debugging with JTAG interface, to provide a reliable power system with power circuit; finally, software design describes the design idea and main process of each system module, emphatically introduces bottom driver of SD card and file system solution of FAT32, dynamic waveform display technology of TFT liquid crystal display module includes collecting data's normalized, interpolation and draw dot, regeneration method, among which interpolation method uses Lagrange polynomial and obtains a satisfactory waveform, it's a new attempt in the applications. According to prototype debugging and field test, the wind speed and direction test equipment meet the design expectation, and stable operation, good performance, satisfying the requirements of portable test system. This article finally analyses the system error, preparation for the future system improvements.
