With the rapid economic development and urban construction scale enlargement, quickly, the important role of tower cranes have become increasingly prominent, and group collaborative homework is more and more common. Meanwhile, oxided accident occurred frequently with the expansion of group collaborative homework scale, even cause serious casualties.In order to make whole group effective operation, coordination and reduce the economic loss and personnel loss caused by accident, timely ,accurate detect and diagnosis the fault of group will have great economic benefits and academic research value.Firstly, tower crane group have huge job data, how to use the data to reflect the status and make oxided relevant personnel to grasp condition is the key of fault detection and diagnosis. This paper through studying the tower crane component agencies work and the detection principle, summarized the characteristics of tower crane group, laid a foundation for tower crane group fault detection and diagnosis methods of research and system design.Secondly, studied fault detection and diagnosis methods of tower crane based on neural network expert system.This method fused the learning ability, adaptive capacity, parallel reasoning ability, the associative memory capacity of neural network and knowledge experience richness and authoritative of expert system, ensure the accuracy of fault detection and diagnosis, the rapidity. neural network and expert system with their advantages, This paper takes the most important four working conditions as example tested the application in fault detection and diagnosis.Finally, designed the tower crane group fault detection and diagnosis system based on the monitoring instrument and monitoring center computer composed by GPRS network. This paper introduced the tower crane monitoring instrument hardware and the design principle of software, the monitoring instrument taked microcontroller C8051F020 as core and used GPRS to realize the remote data communication. The hardware used modular structure including input module, output module, alarm module, LCD module and data storage module. In the monitoring center software parts, compiled the fault detection and diagnosis program based on MATLAB, designed database handling and human-machine interface, used Visual Basic compiled the MATLAB with Visual Basic interface, Visual Basic and SQL interface program, completed the tower crane group fault detection and diagnosis.In the paper, the innovation is the application of neural network expert system in fault detection and diagnosis; In the design of monitoring instrument adopted three microcontroller, which strengthened the real-time and reliability of system.
