In recent ten years, the development of highway in China has increased so rapidly that the industry has become one of the fundamental, profitable, and forerunner industries in national economy. By the end of 2009, the total mileage has reached No.2 in the world, next to USA. And highways provide lots of convenience to people life by its quickness, safety, comfort and efficiency. With the increase of service life, traffic and truck tonnage, the highways need maintenance regularly to secure the safety. However, the progress of maintenance is far behind that of pavement structure damage in China. A type of effective and low-cost method of preventive maintenance technology is in great need. Thus, micro-surfacing technology is developed and applied fast.Micro-surfacing can obviously improve the pavement with the characters of waterproof, anti-slip, wear-resisting and fill rutting. And it advances other technologies by shortening the construction period and speeding up the opening traffic. Nevertheless, the micro-surfacing pavement has clearly greater interior noise and outside noise than that of common asphalt pavement.Through the research and analysis on texture depth, interior noise, outside noise and car body vertical vibration acceleration of micro-surfacing pavement, the thesis concludes the main factor causing the noises falls in the texture depth and the pavement surface properties, which decide the contact status of tire and road. The two factors lead to interior noise of micro-surfacing larger than common asphalt pavement.The thesis proposes that, by the digital image processing technology. gain the micro-surfacing pavement exposure rate index, according to which the texture depth can be lowered after adjust the graduation on the basis of anti-slip.At last, by the way of measuring frictional noise of different micro-surfacing specimens with wet track abrasion instrument to find out the laboratory test method of micro-surfacing frictional noise, it is confirmed that the noise of micro-surfacing mixture which graded was recommended can be lowered about 2.5dB than common micro-surfacing. Also, the thesis verifies the anti-slip ability of the advanced graduation and the pavement performances are able to satisfy the specification need through the tests on all index.
