With the design trend of complication,the bridge accidents happing,the enormous investment and significance in national economy make people pay more attention to the safety, durability and normal functions of these bridges.Structure serving condition monitoring systems and intelligent control technologies have been introduced into these long span bridge and are developing rapidly. At the same time, it becomes a key point that how to exactly valuate the work state of the bridge and put forward the maintaining strategy in time .Assessment research about existing concrete filled steel tube is summarized.
