Application Research Of Reverse Engineering Technology In Motorcycle Innovation Design

Reverse engineering is the reverse procedure of product design and manufacturing ,which is different from the traditional one. Being a pioneering,integrated and comparatively practical technique,Reverse engineering which applied in the design of products can improve the precision of design, produce high quality model and shorten the cycle of design and manufacture,reduce the cost of the design effectively, enhance the competition of enterprise in the market.Motorcycle industry is the important compositive part of our country economy . Reverse engineering has accelerated the development of Motorcycle industry rapidly since it applied in the innovational design of the motorcycle from the end of the twenty century. The paper research mostly the application of the surface reconstruction in the the innovational design of the motorcycle.Surface reconstruction is the significant technology in Reverse Engineering. At present, the surface reconstruction mainly depends on man-machine alternant modeling because it can't realize the automatization. The experience, skill and work idea of the modeling man can decided and influence the efficiency and quality of the surface reconstruction. First according to reality ,the paper analyses the prophase preparative of the surface reconstruction needed from the processes of the innovational design of the motorcycle which bases the reverse engineering and some design information. The paper investigates the sort and the design methods of the curves and surfaces and summarizes their some request of the design from the point of view of the technology. The paper offers the flow in reason of the surface reconstruction, point a design method of the velvet curve and the surface. According to work practice,some representative problem ,which occur in the surface reconstruction of the motorcycle design,are summarized, analysed and given solutions.These offer foundation for the surface reconstruction. It acquire good effect and heighten the efficiency during they have applied in the surface reconstruction of new motorcycle design. It validates these solutions are availability by the practice work items.
