Research And Application Of Public Transit Network Setting Method Of Small City

This paper studied the strategy of public transport priority development in the first place. Then considering the realities and needs of transport and socio-economic development, the paper researched the rational and scientific of public transport development strategy, in order to study the small and meddle-sized urban public transit network planning methods.First, the residents'characteristics of small and meddle-sized cities were studied deeply on travel factors, traffic characteristics and other aspects. And this section compared the characteristics of several small cities and large areas'residents on several aspects.Secondly, based on the study of the constraints which has significant effect on transit planning process, this paper analyzed the constraints of network planning in small cities in order to avoid the non-scientific of selecting randomly.In the stage of identifying alignments, taking the traffic pressure and good traffic of small town into account, this paper used the "shortest path method" to distribute traffic volume, and treat the results of each allocation as a reference to determine the next line until the public transport network completed. This method of laying one by one to optimize city network is easy to meet the travel needs of the vast majority of bus passengers, and also be able to do short-term traffic in the zone smaller. But in the area of bus demand growing clearly, reserving some of the routes purposefully can supply the specific bus trip needs of the regional passenger, and expand the scope of services in the case of cost saving. When determine the alignments, it's possible to route directly through the downtown area instead of aroud there to attract passengers to neighboring. In this way, it will shorten the distance between the lines, but also provide convenience for the passengers'travel.Finally, according to the road network and urban planning of JianPing, this paper proposed the layout of its public transportation network and bus routes, and plan a systematic evaluation of the results, with satisfactory results.
