Study On The Combination Of TOD Mode And Rail Transit Construction In Dalian City

With the Dalian city's economic development and quickly urbanization, traffic demands also increase rapidly. Public traffic has become a hot spot of Dalian's traffic development. But whole development strategy has not been systemed adopted in the city planning of construction like the other cities of China. The construction of transportation and land development means are separately carried out, disjointing in planning and construction. So it is great importance to the healthy development of Dalian to study the application of TOD and the space arrangement of such cities.Therefore, this paper discussed the influence of transportation system on the urban form land utilization, based on the relationship between land utilization and urban land transportation. Extracting that urban transportation can change the arrangement of land utilization. Then the paper introduces the very mode of assorting land utilization and traffic planning- traffic orient development. Then the paper summarizes the application of traffic orient development at home and abroad, and the developed countries such as,North America,Europe, Japan and Singapore are mature. But China began very late and many cities are on groping stage except some big cities. In the end, the TOD development concepts and scheme suggestions are introduced, taking Dalian rail-way transit line 3# for example, in addition to giving suggestions to TOD sustainable development for Dalian.
