Research On Coal Transportation Development Of Qinhuangdao Port

Qinhuangdao Port is the largest port of coal output in the world and the most important port for coal transportation from north to south. It bears an important responsibility in the national economy. Many domestic and foreign ports are developing for modern logistics port using the growing international economic opportunities. However, Qinhuangdao Port has seriously lagged behind the pace of development, and subject to competition from all sides. The advantage is gradually shrinking. So the study of coal transportation development of Qinhuangdao Port becomes an important issue.First, this paper describes the external environment and the present situation of Qinhuangdao Port coal transportation, then analyze the current problems that Qinhuangdao Port focuses.Secondly, we collected the data of Qinhuangdao Port coal throughput in recent years. Then predict the throughput in the next few years using time series method and gray prediction method. But there are some gaps between the value and the actual value. To improve the accuracy of the forecasts, this paper uses the combination forecasting method to predict the coal throughput of next three years.Again, it analyzes various factors that affect the competitiveness of port coal transportation and establishes the evaluation system under the guidance of the scientific principle, and ultimately identifies weight indicators at all levels and Qinhuangdao Port's competitiveness index values.Finally, based on all of the above analysis, it proposes the Qinhuangdao Port coal transport development strategies. Qinhuangdao Port should improve the cooperation of port and rail for quality product, Accurate positioning, and enhance integration of port resources, speed up the port expansion to meet the needs of coal transportation. Qinhuangdao Port should also improve horizontal integration, improve competitiveness, enhance the powerful combination, and implement online trading, work together to resist the market risk.
