With the quick development of the city construction and economy in our country, the gas pipeline is becoming huger and more complex. As the important infrastructure in city, it is very important to strengthen optimization of gas pipeline scheduling and the construction informationizing.This thesis discusses the design and implement of city gas supply monitor system in Shenyang. It includes three parts:RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) distributed on city gas pipeline, monitor center in headquaters and second-level monitor center in gas mill. Based on surrounding environment and situation on the spot, the RTU and second-level monitor center send data collected to monitor center though wireless system or GPRS (General Packet Radio Service). Main RTU in headquaters receive the remote data real time which can assist supervisor to monitor the running of the whole gas pipline in of city; At the same time, data sharing between SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system and GIS (Geographic Information System) system is introduced. Using real time data collected by SCADA system and strong instant database in GIS, real time data are displayed on GIS layers to realilzes data sharing, which can not only grantee the consistency of data, but also downsize users'work through avoiding repeated data inputing.SCADA can not only be the tool of safe producing and transporting, but also provide scientific methods to optimize gas pipleline, failure analysis and assistant decision-making. The applying of SCADA will make the work of production scheduling and transportation-distributing more scientific.
