Along with the development of our railway transportation, the requirements of the run speed and construction ability of the railway overhaul railcar are developed. Therefore, the new railway overhaul railcar is developed. There must be enough strength and rigidity to ensure the safety of the railway overhaul railcar because the complicated load case and major electrical equipments. So the strength,rigidity and mode must be calculated used the FEM method when the car body structure is designed.The finite element model is created base on the depth understand of the characteristics of the railway overhaul railcar body. By analyzing, the strength,rigidity and mode meet the requirements, but the strength reserve is too much. Therefore, some improvements of the car body should be done base on the analysis, partial structure is simplified and the thickness of partial steel plate is reduced, the self-weight of the car body is reduced 1320kg through the improvement.The stress and displacement of the improved car body are got through calculating, and compared with the former results. Through comparing, it is found that the stress and displacement of the improved car body never change too much, the strength and rigidity of the improved car body meet the requirements.Some FEM analysis and improvements are done for the designing of the car body, the self-weight of the car body is reduced under the assurance of the requirements of the strength and rigidity. It provides the reference for the designing of the railway car body. |
