Study On Correlation Of Industrial Land Expansion And Urban Form Evolution In Hefei

Urban form is the projection of various types of urban land onto the space and it is also the comprehensive characterization of economy, society and culture. As one of the three main functional urban land, the continuous outward expanding of industrial land reflect the direction of urban land expansion to a certain extent. In fast industrialization, the rapid expansion of industrial land is the major factor pushing city form evolution. Because Hefei facilitates the shift of industry, industrial land, the vanguard of city land expansion, will expand rapidly again before others and exerts great influences upon urban form. It is very urgent to study the relationship between the industrial land expansion and the city form evolution at this moment. This thesis researches the timing and spatial characteristic of industrial land expansion and city form evolution with the quantitative analysis as the main methods, on the basis of which, the concept of co-operativity index of urban land expansion is raised and collaborative analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis are used to study the dependency between the industrial land expansion and urban form evolution in Hefei, then coming the following conclusions.There is very close relationship between the industrial land expansion and the city form evolution in Hefei。The industrial land is mainly in the northern, southern and south-western parts and the three parts are also the leading directions of the city development. In temporal series the analysis of the correlation between the industrial land in different directions and the main functional land has proved the closeness between the industrial land expansion and the city form evolution.The guiding function of the industrial land expansion is significant in the city form evolution in Hefei. In the developing period of unit and fan blade, the layout of three blades of industrial land is the skeleton of the city form of one core and three blades . With the fan blade city form developing into the current city block of compact multiple units, the axial expansion and circle gathering of the industrial land have conducted the expansion of other functional land , then the city form has also changed.There is very close relationship between the industrial land expansion and the city form evolution in the main developing direction in Hefei and the current expanding mode of axial expansion and circle gathering has given rise to the continued outward expansion of urban land. For the reasons above, there will be the sea star city spatial form in Hefei, which is the network-like city spatial structure, composed of the double-core, the western newtown and the three main parts of northern, southern and eastern part, and the operation strategies of optimizing city form development are also raised.
