The Study Of ECM In ETO Manufacturing Model

Engineering Change Management (ECM) is normal operation business Industry Machinery, common machine, fabric metal manufacturing. ECM is the key difficult point in operation as well. In the real cases, ECM will appear in the working in process. Therefore ECM is not only due to R&D, but involve manufacturing, operation, purchase, warehouse and so on. Due to the absence of the collaboration and integration of different departments, ECM is difficult to be con-trolled, difficult to feedback on demand, difficult to balance the EC cost, difficult to deliver on time. There is big mass in ECM process, even out of control, that leads to big loss.The solution to resolve the problem is to set up the collaborative system integrate R&D and manufacturing, operation, purchase, warehouse and so on. Integrate the information and feed-back on demand. In the most of the study on ECM, most focused on internal operation in R&D, but not on the integration and collaboration among related departments.The thesis study based on the collaboration in the ECM process, through the study of ECM problem and analysis, conclude the limitation of MRP for ECM, raised ETO model, redesign ECM process in details through IDEFO. Discuss the method of the integration of PDM and ERP to realize the collaboration.
