High-voltage switch is mainly in the power system protective role of electrical equipment, and it also bears the important task of operating the grid. High-voltage switch can accurately and timely closing or cut off power lines depending largely on whether the original mechanical could switch to normal operation itself. In order to ensure the normal operation switch, it is necessary to test the mechanical properties. Traditional testing methods have many limitations, such as: measurement error, and anti-jamming ability, poor real-time. Against to these defects, this paper proposed a set of optimization switches mechanical properties testing program.This article first describes the structure of high-voltage switch, use and the significance of switch testing research. In the measurement program, it selects the grating displacement sensor to measure the displacement of switch contacts and then find the speed of the contact points. Using the new software counting method instead of counting large numbers could replace the traditional methods. Use ray oscilloscope to measure the time of switch contact points. In the hardware design, it chooses the DSP TMS320F2812 as the central microcontroller and uses C language as the language of this design process. This article also designed additional lightning protection circuit to improve overall system security and reliability.
