Research On Remote Monitoring System For Control And Protective Switching Device Based On GPRS

The Control and Protective Switching Device (CPS) acts as a new style of intelligenceswitching protective appliance, it possesses the characteristics of the smaller volume, themore functions and communication-capable. Nowadays, it is widely used at plant, coalmine and so on. It is a characteristic of intelligent appliances developed that making aplenty of appliances to be network connection. PC is a monitoring computer part to be usedto monitor the whole network, and it can make maintaining all appliances in the networkmore conveniently. As "the 12th five years" plans putting forward to intelligent power gridconstruction, our country has already pay great attention to the transformation of ruralpower network, the CPS will be used in rural power distribution network. However, therural power distribution network possesses the characteristics of the more appliances, thewider distribution, and the complicated network frame structure. The wire communicationtechnology can not adapt to the harsh environment. For this reason, we should apply thewireless communication technology to replace the wire communication technology.This thesis makes research of CPS communication interface. It also analyses andmakes comparison between wire communication and wireless communication, making adesign of the wireless communication interface. This method based on GPRScommunication technology is came up ,the structure of GPRS and the process of GPRSmodem communicating to the network are all explained, including the choice of networkconnection plan, the introduction of network communication protocol, and the frame ofwhole network structure. It analyses the characteristic of software and hardware platform,the peripheral circuit and the software program, including lower machine section and PCpart. The main function is CPS connects to GPRS Modem by a serial port. The terminalcommunicate to a visualization monitoring software which is designed by VB6.0.Thecommunication data include voltage, current and the state of switch, the transmission ofwhich are followed some protocols. And the transmission route is between GPRS networkand Internet. Finally, the working condition of GPRS modem is debugged by AT commands, andthe data including current, voltage and switching states showed in remote monitoringsoftware is passed. The results test and verify the feasibility of the whole remotemonitoring system, and applying the SMS-control method to control PIC16F877A singlechip in the late period.
