Box-type substation is important modern power distribution equipment. With economic development, people are increasingly demanding smart grid, in order to achieve the reliability and quality of power supply stability, while reducing the workload of electricity workers, we proposed an intelligent box-type substation monitoring program according to GPRS communication technology on the basis of the box-type substation.It combines data acquisition, transmission and display together to improve the automation level of box-type substation operation.In this paper, the intelligent system is based on the idea of module, through the data acquisition module, DSP data processing module, GPRS wireless transmission module and PC software module, to meet the general requirements of the monitoring system. The system as DSP2407 microprocessor core devices, achieve box-type substation phase voltage and current through design the sampling circuit and use certain algorithms to process the collected data, calculate the voltage, current and powers of substations; GPRS module is mainly used GTM-900 C development board to achieve communication terminal and PC data acquisition, Then processed real-time data transmission to the host computer which using LabVIEW to write on the display screen. In addition, it also able to determine the state of breakers and other switches.At the end of the paper, we have a whole system debugging and analysis, achieve the design goals which we have expected.
