As a symbolic large public building in Wujin, Phoenix Valley is the largest single project in investment. The most significant features of this project are its complex shape and large construction quantities. The long-span steel truss roof above the stage in Zone A is important and difficult in the construction. As the construction of steel structures is complex, unreasonable forcing systems and construction mode always appear during the process of construction. Therefore, it is extremely important to carry out a research into the construction mechanics of long-span steel structure. This paper analyzes various types of mechanical problems during the construction of the long-span steel roof by ANSYS finite element software. The main content of this paper is briefly summarized as follows:1. By studying the hoisting process of the long-span truss and establishing the ANSYS finite element model, to calculate the forces, deformation and stability of the truss structure during the hoisting process, and to verify the reasonableness of the hoisting program2. Making using of the life-and-death unit function, to contrast between the two different truss installation programs their deformation and forcing conditions in every construction step. According to the computation result, it is better to use Program 1 in the actual construction3.Calculating the displacement and internal force of the steel roof after the secondary beam, roof board and so on are installed, it is sure that the structure can meet the design requirements.
