In addition to overhead cranes, hoist crane is a kind of lifting andtransportation machinery, which plays an important role in the industrialproduction. In recent years, with the application of CAD technology, parameterand the modular design method in the crane industry, the traditional designpatterns is fundamentally changed, the production cycle of the product isshortened, the design efficiency of the product is greatly improved; Especiallywith the application of the optimization design, the quality and economy of theproduct had been greatly enhanced and the product had been more competitivein the market. Many CAD design systems have been designed for the overhead cranes. The crane design system is in the platform of AutoCAD which is2d CADsystem or SolidWorks which is3d CAD system, in some of which optimizationdesign is involved. However, few of those systems are for the hoist crane whichis widely used. The frame structure of single girder hoist crane of is researched in thispaper. Integrated system which has the function including optimization isdeveloped, based on existing system. The system is developed on the platformof VC++6.0software and through the second development technology integrateAutoCAD, SolidWorks and MATLAB together, realizing the function ofstructure design and calculation, optimization of section size, output of3d modelof parts and bridge, the automatic generation of2d engineering graphics andmanual, making the design cost of the products lower, shorting cycle, realizingserialization. At the same time, the integrated design system is of greatsignificance for further study. In addition, this paper also presents the methodencountering in graphical and table in parametric design process, introducing thecurve fitting in concrete application of graphical and tabular.
