At present,the Smart Grid is the latest trends of power system development and change,which is the core of promoting renewable energy development and low-carbon economy. With the development of Information Technology,Photoelectric Technology,Microelectronics Technology and Network Communication Technology,the concept of digital substation appears. With the advent of the Smart Grid, the concept of Smart Substation also produced. To construct the Smart Grid, we must strengthen the construction of the Smart Substations, the construction of Smart substation is an essential step of the construction of Smart Grid.The Smart Substation overcomes many shortcomings of the Traditional Substation,which makes it the future direction of substation development. Smart Substation's primary equipments make use of many intelligent primary equipment,Smart Substation's secondary equipments make use of secondary network equipment. the exchange of information which between primary equipments and secondary equipments, also, between secondary equipments via Ethernet. Then, the framework of the intelligent Substation is built in accordance with the IEC61850standard. The Smart Substation have many unparalleled advantages which are the traditional substation can't compared, advanced technology, security, covering low-cost, low maintenance, environmentally friendly and so on.Before the construction of projects, we'd do the project feasibility study, the construction of Smart Substation is no exception. Because the Smart Substation construction is new things, the feasibility study is even more necessary and important for the Smart Substation. The feasibility study is to research the project before the project implementation and the technical and economic aspects of a comprehensive, integrated analysis and appraisal, and ultimately make the decision of the project is reasonable and realistic (feasible or infeasible); it is a construction project the main basis for decision-making and project.In this paper, the project overview of110kV Hudi Smart Substation construction is introducted, the paper also analyzes the need for the project, using the theory of the feasibility study the feasibility of the the the110kV Hudi Smart Substation construction. Through the engineering and technical analysis, economic analysis and social analysis, drawn to the project is feasible in these areas, compared to the traditional substation also has a huge advantage. Established the feasibility of comprehensive evaluation index system of substation construction projects, based on fuzzy matter-element method is analyzed the feasibility of the whole project construction, and draw the general conclusions of this project is feasible. The end of this thesis is the summary of the whole thesis and the outlook of the next work for this system.
