The power grid of China is in a period of vigorous development, with the construction of UHV power grid, distributed energy, electric power market open access, safe and stable operation of power grid is becoming increasingly prominent, the smart grid has become the trend of the development of the power grid. Intelligent substation is a fundamental part of the smart grid, has become an important research topic.Wenjin substation is a 220kV smart substation. The substations achieve the intelligent primary device through the "intelligent terminals" and "Merging unit". This issue sets the engineering application of Wenjin Smart Substation as the main line, and combined with the results in engineering practice. It mainly summarizes the intelligent substation related technical and operational maintenance technology, intelligent substation technology is studied in the process of Wenjin substation application. First of all, from the perspective of the key technologies of intelligent substation, summarizes the main characteristics of intelligent substation architecture system; From intelligent substation data flow and the operational maintenance technology of transformer substation, the key technology of intelligent substation, and detailed analysis of the differences between the intelligent substation and conventional substation, including sampling circuit, protective device configuration, operating mode, security measures, equipment maintenance and expansion of reform, etc. And then introduced the intelligent substation secondary system security technology, combined with conventional station maintenance habits and intelligent maintenance technology, suitable for intelligent substation maintenance technology are summarized, including GOOOSE information flow and maintenance methods of information flow in the SV. Secondly, combined with visualization technology is suitable for the intelligent substation maintenance strategy was proposed, describes in detail a variety of case maintenance strategy, and carries on the comparative analysis. Finally, in order to not outage replacement of intelligent terminal and outage overhaul project as an example, combined with the proposed security policy, introduce intelligent substation design process safety measures and implementation process.The achievement of this paper has certain promotion of intelligent substation operation and maintenance level, but also for the future development of intelligent substation construction and guidance.
