With the fast development of our national economy, light conveyorbelt is playing a more and more important role in industrial production.The history of light conveyor belt in China is very short, the technologyof belt production is behind of time and its production efficiency is low.Applying extrusion-laminating production technology on the productionof light conveyor belt is a completely new production method, which is ofhigh-efficiency, high automation, especially has an obvious advantage inthe production of special conveyor belt.In the extrusion-laminating production of light conveyor belt, theroller embossing forming process is the key part. This paper focuses onthe study of this key part by using the FEM softwareANSYS12.1/LS-DYNA to simulate and analyze its process. Thenonlinear explicit dynamic FEM analysis method is established, and adetailed description on model construction, material parameters settings,load and constraint, boundary conditions in the pre process of simulationis given. In the pre process, the negative volume problem is solved byeliminating the negative contact energy and the calculating efficiency, can be improved. The calculation results is analysed by using the postprocess software Ls-prepost and the forming processes is obserbed. Theproduct quality and forming results are evalued by analysing theX-Displacement curve of the node, the thickness(X) directiondisplacement field, the effective plastic strain field and the effective stressfield. Using the same study method, the effects of extrusion quantities,rolling temperatures and rolling velocities, on the product quality areanalysed and discussed in the paper.The deformation situation and movement rules of light conveyor beltroller embossing forming is studied by discussing the procedures, whichcan provide theoretical basis for optimization design of the mould, andthe improvement of product quality.
