Belt conveyor is a continuous conveying machinery, which take the conveyor belt as the traction and bearing mechanism, and it is a typical dynamical model of rigid flexible coupling multibody system. Traditional rigid body mechanics pay attention to the analysis and calculation of conveyor system static characteristic, but it seldom consider the dynamic characteristics of belt conveyor system, that leds to the low precision of large conveyor in the design and calculation. So, carrying on the comprehensive dynamic analysis of each main components' dynamic characteristics of large belt conveyor is very necessary. This paper completed smoothly supported by the principle of unstable snake-like belt conveyor system and the national natural s cience foundation of China called Control & Research.This paper adopted the dynamical model of rigid flexible coupling multibody theory, analyzed the dynamic characteristic of the belt conveyor. According to the basic characteristics of the conveyor belt including static and dynamic characteristic together with viscoelasticity, and use the method of rigid body element in flexible beam connected with the belt, finite rigid body element model of conveyor belt was established, through euler bernoulli beam theory, three-dimensional vibration differential equation of rigid body element was deduced; conveyor frame model is set up by solidworks, and it was put into multi-body dynamics analysis software recudyn, reuse of recudyn belt transmission module, conveyor belt, roller, material model is set up, and by adjusting the model parameters of them, and simulate working condition of the belt conveyer start, material randomly distributed, pre-tightening force changes, and roller deflection, etc. The simulation results show that:compared the four kinds of start-up curves, and through the theoretical and simulation analysis, parabolic curve is the best start curve, peak of starting tension is 41864.28 n; in the same case, no-load start and reloading start has distinct effect on the tension and the contacting force of the conveyor belt, especially when overload starting, the volatile produced by the conveyor belt tension is very large,which affected the using period; when material distribution tilts, the tension of the belt turns a uneven wave curve, it shows that the material scattering unevenly will shorten the service life of the belt; the greater the pre-tightening force of conveyor belt, the more obvious changing of the tension; when the roller conveyor belt is tilt, dynamic tension will be obvious fluctuations, and presents the random shape.In this paper, Recurdyn, the new software for multi-body dynamics analysis was used in the study of belt conveyor, that provides a new virtual simulation platform in the design and transform of belt conveyor. At the same time, the method and thoughts of virtual prototype have beenused, and the simulation results that gets, also provides certain reference significance for the design and performance improvement of the same type of plastic forming technology equipment.
