Precision Agriculture (referred to as PA) is a form of modern agricultural production, which has developed on the basis of new achievements of a series of high-tech such as engineering technology, modern information technology and biotechnology. The core technology is the GIS (Geographical Information System), GPS (Global Positioning System) and RS (Remote Sensing). Precision agriculture system is a highly integrated complex system, which is an important way to achieve sustainable agricultural development. The implementation of precision agriculture includes farmland information collection, information management and decision-making, variable operation and so on. Achieving farmland information, in particular the soil sampling, is the most important part of the precision agriculture implementation.This paper relies on 863 project "construction and application of precise operating system of wheat production" (No.:2006AA10A308) and agricultural technology project of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission "agricultural intelligent equipment system integration and industry" (No.:2010002), and researches efficient management technology of soil sampling and agricultural information. The main contents of this paper include:(1) Studying using the match of soil sampling collection, GPS and other hardware and software environment to achieve the automated collection technique of soil samples, and using hydraulic system carried by the sampling system to press sampling components into the soil to complete the automated sampling of soil, then achieving the automation of sample collection under different soil conditions and to overcome the cost and using great effort of traditional soil sample collection.(2) Establishing an information management database of soil inventory bar code according to the actual situation of the experimental point, designing label printing, recording and management application system, which is to achieve making an inventory of soil samples.(3) Establishing the soil resource information system based on WebGIS is to organically combine the soil resource information and geographic information system and build large spatial property database, and using the network to query, retrieve and make statistics of the soil resource information with geographical feature. As long as there is network the soil characteristics can be analyzed and evaluated suitably and it can provide real-time service for agricultural producers and policy makers, and improve work efficiency of land management and administration departments and modern level of agricultural technology. This study has good practical value under the preliminary practice verification of the national precision agriculture demonstration base in Beijing Xiaotangshan and the analyses application effect of Huaxian in Henan.
