The study object in the paper is Paridea angulicollis (Motschulsky). We researched feed-ing amount and sarvation tolerance of Paridea angulicollis. We also investigated the density and pest index of Paridea angulicollis in Gynostemma pentaphyllum field. And analyzed the Paridea angulicollis's feeding damage of the water-soluble ingredients. It can be expected to provide the theory and practice for the IPM. The results showed as following:1. Study on the feeding amount and feeding in reproduce of Paridea angulicollis. The results showed that the female daily feeding amount was 1.0~95.0 mm~2, average consumed for 34.0 mm~2; The male daily feeding amount was 0~71.0 mm~2, average consumed for 25.2 mm~2. In the insect breeding, female′s feeding amount has obvious different and male′s no.2. Study on the sarvation tolerance of Paridea angulicollis. Female resistance of hunger for 6~18d, average of 12.6d, The male resistance hunger for 6~14d, average of 10.0d. And has obvious different.3. Investigate the density and pest index of Paridea angulicollis. It occurres on April to September. The pest index follows the density change, and has two damage peak time every year (April and September). Besides, it also influenced by weather and growth of Gynostem-ma pentaphyllum.4. Analyzed the feeding damage on the water-soluble ingredients, based on simulate the feeding damage in room. By formula Y=-0.020X2+0.204X+11.08 (Y: water-soluble ingre-dients extraction; X: number of pest; R2=0.825), between 0~16, while X=5, Y has a max 11.60, obvious differ from control experiment. While X=10, Y10≈Y0=11.12, not differ from control experiment. So we can obtain the max extraction rate under 5 head/zhu (20 head/m~2). we should make chemical control must control density within 5~10 head/zhu (20~40 head/m~2) , it more accord with IPM.
