| Objective:To explore the influence of the Compound Yuquan Decoction on mental health, living quality and clinical effects in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Qi-yin Deficiency, in order to provide evidence for the application of Compound Yuquan Decoction.Methods:100 cases were selected from Xiamen Hospital of TCM, they were randomly divided into three groups:33cases in Chinese herbal treatment group treated with Compound Yuquan Decoction, western medicine and life-style intervention(Group A); 33 cases in Chinese herb control group treated with the Shenqijiangtang Granule, western medicine and life-style intervention(Group B); 34 cases in the western medicine control group treated with western medicine and life-style intervention (Group C).The efficacy was assessed after 3 months by DMQLS, the symptom score and laboratory indexes.Results:1. Compared with the data before the treatment, evaluation of living quality, disease dimension, biological dimension, psychological dimension and satisfaction dimension were decreased significantly after 3 months of treatment in both group A and group B(P<0.01 and P<0.01,respectively),meanwhile there was no significant difference that was shown in the society dimension(P>0.05). Evaluation of living quality, disease dimension, biological dimension and satisfaction dimension in group C abated obviously, the difference was significant(P<0.01), but there was no significant difference(P>0.05) that was shown in the society dimension and psychological dimension.2. According to living quality after 3 months of treatment, a statistically significant (P <0.01) decrease was observed in group A in the following parameters:evaluation of living quality, disease dimension, biological dimension, and satisfaction dimension. In addition, the decreased degree in group A was distinctively lower than that in group B and C. But there was no difference(P>0.05) in society dimension and psychological dimension among three groups.3. Concerning the difference value of living quality before and after treatment, group A was superior to group B and group C (P<0.01) on evaluation of living quality, disease dimension, biological dimension, psychological dimension and satisfaction dimension..4. The symptom integral of each group decreased within the 1st month (P>0.05) and it decreased significantly (P<0.05) at the 3rd month. Additionally, the decreased degrees in group A and B was distinctively lower (P<0.05) than that in group C. The difference-values of symptom integral before and after treatment were no significant differences (P>0.05) between the groups.5. There was no significant difference was shown in FBG,2hBG, HbA1C, FINS, HOME-IR and Lipid levels(P>0.05)。Conclusion:The compound Yuquan decoction could improve the living quality and clinical effect in type 2 diabetes mellitus with Qi-yin deficiency, especially in biological dimension, satisfaction dimension, disease dimension and psychological dimension.The compound Yuquan decoction could decrease the clinical symptom score in type 2 diabetes mellitus with Qi-yin deficiencyComparing with group B and C,the compound Yuquan decoction showed no advantage in the reduction of FBG and 2hBG. |
