| Breast cancer is the most common female tumor. The incidence of breast cancer in our country is about 23 in 10 million, accounting for 7% -10% of systemic cancer. Breast cancer is one of the solid tumor, which would be treated by chemotherapy effectively. The purpose of assistant chemotherapy after the surgery is to eliminate some of the subclinical metastatic lesions in order to improving survival. Chemotherapy occupies an important position in the entire complex treatment for breast cancer. However, due to the long time chemotherapy and the serious side-effects of anti-cancer drugs as well as facing the pressures of the family finance, medical expenses, and the relationship between family members, patients could think of themselves as family and social burdens, and therefore, it is likely that they would be in anxiety, impatience, pessimism, disappointment, depression and other psychological conditions. Based on comfortable nursing model, this study makes a nursing plan throughout the chemotherapy with appropriate comfort nursing methods from physiological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects. While maintaining and developing physiological nursing to the breast cancer patients during postoperative chemotherapy, it emphasis on reinforce psychological intervention and improve psychological comfort which makes patients feel the sense of satisfaction, safety, respect and so on. It will reduce or remit their anxiety, depression and other negative emotional effects. Therefore, we can improve the patients'comfort and quality of life. Purpose:The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of comfort nursing care by means of comparing the improvement in quality of life of breast cancer patients who received comfort nursing care to the life quality improvement in those who received conventional nursing care in order to providing a scientific basis for further researches in this area.Method:This study selected 100 cases of female breast cancer patients with postoperative chemotherapy as the research object, who in the department of general surgery of Affiliated Zhongshan Hospital of Dalian University from December 2010 to June 2011. The research object was numbered according to the treatment order, the odd number as the control group, the even number as the intervention group. The control group using conventional methods of care, the intervention group was given comfort care. Using quality of life core questionnaire, social support scale and the general hospital anxiety / depression scale measured three kinds of tables for every patient after admission and nursing intervention after twenty days. Data entry used Epidata3.1 software. Data processing and analysis used SPSS13.0 statistical software. Quantitative material using t-test or rank and inspection; qualitative material between the two groups is using a chi-square test.Results:1. The control group and the intervention group in the age structure, treatment, the distribution of occupational structure constitute the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05).2. Before the nursing intervention, the control group and the intervention group in the quality of life score, social support rating, anxiety/depression rating of the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05).3. Control group and intervention group after the intervention care, and self-care in the intervention compared to pre-score, quality of life score changes, changes in social support score, anxiety / depression score change differences, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).4. Control group and intervention group after the intervention care, and nursing intervention compared to previous scores, quality of life score changes, changes in social support score, anxiety / depression score change differences between the two groups, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion: 1. The quality of life of breast cancer patients with postoperative chemotherapy,that received comfort care was higher than ordinary care group.2. The social support of the comfort care group was more than ordinary care group.3. The emotional anxiety and depression of the comfort care group was better than ordinary care group.4. Our comfort care is still in its infancy, there is still much room for development. |
