| Objective:The concentration of changes of Plasma Brain Natriuretic Peptide levels before and after cardioversion and the following will be measured, To study On The Realation Between the Changes of Plasma Brain Natriuretic Peptide levels And Prognosis in Atrial Fibrillation Patients with normally systolic function of left ventricle.Method:From March 2008 to April 2010,62 cases of AF patients with normal left ventricle function were divided into two groups after echocardiography:group A(LA<40 mm)and group B(LA>40 mm),and the control group C (Sinus rhythm group), Plasma BNP levels were measured before and after cardioversion. The patients were followed up one year, the primary end point was recurrence of atrial fibrillation, cerebral embolism and obvious cardic insufficiency. The testing result was processed with SPSS11.5 statistical software.Result:(1) Twenty four hours after successful cardioversion, plasma BNP levels decreased significantly(P<0.05), BNP levels in the patients after successful cardioversion was significantly higher than that in the control gorup(P<0.05), (2) The higher plasma BNP levels,The higheer risks of recurrence of atrial fibrillation (P<0.05),cerebral embolism and obvious cardic insufficiency, (3) plasma BNP levels showed positive correlation with the diameter of left atrium(r=0.741, r=0.912, p<0.01, p<0.01), this study showed no strong correlation between plasma BNP levels and the course of disease or the age (r=0.197, r=0.313, r=0.048, r=0.317, p>0.1, p>0.1, p>0.1, p>0.1)Conclusion:(1) The plasma of BNP levels are increased in patients with AF, concentration of BNP fall after successful cardioversion, The diameter of left atrium may influence recurrence of atrial fibrillation and levels of the plasma of BNP. (2) The higher plasma BNP levels,The higheer risks of recurrence of atrial fibrillation, cerebral embolism and obvious cardic insufficiency. (3) BNP has important value on prediction, treatment and Prognosis of AF. BNP can be regarded as a a simple and effective and practical laboratory index to predict prognosis of the patients with AF. |
