Study on textbooks compilation of TCFL is important to the development of the cause. With the deepening of China's reform and opening-up policy, our national strength and international status get improved, which have get Chinese and Chinese culture promoted in the worldwide. China's culture study in TCFL field started from early 1980s, which has developed nearly 30 years. One of the ways to evaluate the achievements we have got is to see the development of cultural textbooks. Because textbooks are the basis for teaching, the quality of textbooks directly decides the success of learning outcomes. Looking through the development of TCFL since the founding of our new China, textbooks compilation has gone through several stages, from early scattered papers to the present exquisite materials, textbooks are constantly improving its structure and contents. However, through the review and summarization of previous textbooks, we can discover that although we have made a lot of efforts on the compilation of textbooks, the culture textbooks occupy only a small part of the large number of all TCFL textbooks. This problem has aroused the attention of textbook writers.As a book to introduce Chinese culture, the culture textbooks itself is a cross-cultural communication channels. Therefore, during the compilation of culture textbooks, we have to pay attention to cross-culture communication issues. Cross-culture communication is a kind of communication between people of different cultural backgrounds. Study of Cross-culture communication started from 1980s in China, which gets a little bit behind. But with the development of China's reform and opening up policy and economic progress, China's cross-cultural communication with other countries gets more and more frequent, therefore scholars in China are making great efforts to improve the study on cross-culture communication theories in order to apply more new theories to TCFL field. However, cross-culture communication theories haven't got sufficient attention in the compilation of culture textbooks. Through the collation and induction of related researches and study results, combined with the principles of cross-culture communication and textbook compilation, I summed up three principles we should obey in textbook compilation from the perspective of cross-culture communication, including cultural tolerance and respect, the principle of bi-culture, and cultural communication strategies. And then the essay takes Chinese and Culture Textbook and An Introduction to China as examples to analyze the gain and loss in textbook compilation from the perspective of cross-culture communication. The conclusion is that the current culture textbooks mainly have three problems in aspects of cross-culture communication. Firstly, many culture textbooks have shown a sense of superiority and unconsciously showed off our culture; secondly, the introduction style to some of culture contents is not easy for foreign learners to understand, which means there is no culture synaesthesia; thirdly, many culture textbooks have not done well in the choice of culture contents. To these problems, I put forward three suggestions. First, we should have higher requirements for textbook writers, who have to improve the awareness of cross-culture communication so that they can get out of their own inherent culture framework; Second, we should adjust and simplify the introduction style to make it easier for foreign learners to understand. In addition, with the development of modern technology, we can also use video, pictures and other multimedia tools to help learners to have a more intuitive understanding of Chinese culture; Finally, we should choose culture contents that can embody the essence and function of Chinese culture, and balance well the issue of interesting of culture textbooks.
