Sacrifice Room, Club, Memorial Place: The Research On The Ningzhou Wanshou Palaces' Functions Of Jiangxi Since Qing Dynasty

Wanshou palace which is the place by Jiangxi people is worshiped to the "blessing lord"-Xuzhenjun (xun), also the fellow guild of the Jiangxi who outside their hometown during Qing dynasty. It plays a very important role in lives of the Jiangxi. It is also a significant carrier in Jiangxi history and culture. Ningzhou is one of the states in Yuan Ming and Qing dynasties, located in northwestern of Jiangxi province, Which is Xuxun's"places of walking", also an area of his activities."Zhenjun's heritage and events mostly appeared in Ningzhou." which has deep culture of Wanshou palace. This article is regard of the Ningzhou palaces'functions since Qing dynasty as the research object. It discusses the Wanshou palace's functions in the local social life from three aspects:sacrifice room, club, memorial place, basing on NingZhou'geography, population and Wanshou palace's prosperity and depression, in order to provide a "window" for people going further learning local society and its history of Jiangxi.Specific research has the following seven parts:The introduction shows:the topic's origin and significance, academic history reviewing which contains the research situation of the domestic Wanshou palace, according materials, innovation, framework.The first chapter bases on Ningzhou's natural environment and humanistic environment to discuss the feasibility of Ningzhou as a research unit. The second chapter using history and phiology methods to comb several Local chorography which can make the relationship of Xuxun and Ningzhou clearly and show the history of prosperity and depression of Ningzhou Wanshou palaces from Qing dynasty, in order to make foundation for the following functions analysis.The third chapter discusses one of Ningzhou Wanshou palace functions:sacrifice room. This chapter introduces the gods in palace, the people'worship and bless functions. The author takes two Wanshou palaces investigations as case study, to describe particularity of sacrifice function in the Ningzhou Wanshou palace.The fourth chapter discusses the second function of Ningzhou Wanshou palace:club. The Ningzhou Wanshou palace has the important role in moral enlightenment, melting the local people and outsiders and to be a place of businessman's gathering.The fifth chapter discusses the third function of Ningzhou Wanshou palace memorial place. It mainly talks over the relationship between Wanshou palace and modern revolutionary history, memorial palaces'builting, setting and managementThe last conclusion summarizing the Ningzhou Wanshou palaces'development in macroscopic perspective.
