This thesis focuses on the two-disyllabled adjectives in The Travels of Hsu HsiaKo, Which was finished in Ming Dynasty. It is the aim to use the theory of vocabulary and grammar and combine the description of method, analysis and the comparative method, carrying the hopes of clearing the basic conditions and characteristics of the two-disyllabled adjectives in Ming Dynasty.By searching for The Travels of Hsu HsiaKo. the selected two-disyllabled adjectives were divided into single-morpheme words and compound words, described and analysed from words' meaning and formation.From the angles of meanging and syntax, the representative synonyms were selected, finding the difference of unique morphemes and the irreplaceable feature in the expression. It finally summarized that single-morpheme words were unsettled in appearance, while compound words were in the dominant position, with a varity of word-formations.Besieds the supplemental word-formation was abundant in formation. The assemblage of synonyms was one of the measures of enriching two-disyllabled adjectives, which was advanced by the diversities of meaning and sentence structure.
