Reversibility & Irreversibility Research For The Sentence Order Of Complex Sentences With Coordinating Relation

It is thought that there is no difference for the parts of complex sentence with coordinating relation and their sentence order can be changed freely, but it is not true actually. This thesis will investigate some common complex sentence with coordinating relation, it is found out that the sentence order of some can be changed freely, but most of these cannot be changed.This thesis includes introduction, body and conclusion. The body has 4 chapters. The 1st chapter is the investigation of reversibility and irreversibility for "Ji A, You B", the 2nd,3rd, and 4th chapter are the investigations of reversibility and irreversibility for "Ji A, Ye B", "Yi Bian A, Yi Bian B" and "Yi Fang Mian A, Yi Fang Mian B". For each chapter, it is reviewed from the below 4 aspects:first investigate the linguistic expression forms of certain complex sentence and conclude the characteristic according to the corpus; then investigate the logic basis of this sentence, analyze the inner logical structure based on the corpus; then investigate the reversibility of this sentence, get the rate of reversibility according to the quantitative analysis and find out the concomitant feature; last is to investigate the irreversibility of this sentence and this is the focus of this thesis. This thesis clarifies this complex sentence into different lower types, investigate the restraint factors that caused the irreversibility from different point of views according to the effective corpus. The investigation shows that:for the irreversibility for different lower types of complex sentence with coordinating relation, there are restraint facts that are common such as logic semantics, semantic stress and linguistic context, also restraint factors that are different such as idiomaticity that caused the irreversibility of "Ji A, You B" and "Ji A, Ye B", but this point doesn't show up in the other kind complex sentences with coordinating relation, another example is phonological factor is one of the restraint of the irreversibility of "Yi Bian A, Yi Bian B" but this doesn't show up in the other complex sentences with coordinating relation. Meantime it is found out that for the different complex sentence with coordinating relation, the rate of reversibility and irreversibility is different and the rate of restraint factors for the irreversibility of the different complex sentence is not the same too.
