As one of the several existing 7-archth classic stone bridges, Hehe Bridge now is on the list of heritage under provincial protection. According to the historical monuments, Hehe Bridge was built in late Ming Dynasty (1572 AD). Survey by archaeologist and architects also provides the convincing proof. Through the Ming and Qing dynasties, Hehe Bridge with the Wei River played an important part in the Great Channel system of Beijng-Hangzhou. It takes roles of, such as culturally, historically, technologically, and economically on the stage of local people. As an evidence of Wei River's busy and heavy traffics in the ancient times, Hehe Bridge and the temple of the King, south to Hehe Bridge, stand still together, with their highly historical values; Great harmonious with its circumstance, learning from the great nature, Hehe Bridge also gains the people a best example of inside and outside peace, besides in the middle 3-arch stand their vivid sculptured animals, with best wishes and beliefs in higher Artistic values. Meanwhile Hehe Bridge are used not only in ancient times but nowadays, which develops the national and local Communications with largely economic values.Due to the natural selection, man damage, environmental factors and other mistakes in using and managements, the bridge now faces serious problems, such as Bridge destroyed, the bridge tilted on both sides of Yanchi, embankment missing, severely damaged bridge deck and railings. That means, to protect it from dangers, a lot of practical measures should be taken on in great demands. Since the brutal relied the urgently serious situation of our Hehe Bridge, they need helps from experts and a plan to let the masterpiece last long enough to make use for the people. Since May 2009, Zhengzhou Institute of History, Architecture, Xinxiang city and county cultural relics management department with one pair of co-River bridge body and the surrounding environment a number of investigation, learned that body stone bridge, the surrounding environment and cause damage to stone then we have an analysis for all of them. The most serious problem is the combined river bridge badly damaged body, and it is imperative to take measures to protect the stone bridge.To solve these problems, this paper, based on investigations both in fields and mattering materials and along with a mount of work across-course in the knowledge of Archaeology,Architecture,Urban planning learning and so on, proposal a protection plan as follows.Firstly, considering the situation Hehe of Hehe Bridge itself, fields'investigations and plans should be well arranged, some special measure should be taken into, to turn the Hehe Bridge into a good shape.Secondly, accordingly to the standard of the National, we need to measure a protection area and take the area under control, the environment around the Hehe Bridge should be in proved naturedly and ham with their remaining characters.Thirdly, make full use of this culture heritage resource. Around the Hehe Bridge, the connecting Cultural relic vestige and places of interest should be entirely protected. On the relations of Hehe Bridge and itself, a program should be planned well, number the views and listen them as one of the civil people's modern citizen part for leisure's, and exhibit our Hehe Bridge as a window of Hehe deistical culture, to call up the people's ideas to protect historical materials and make a progress in building our harmonious society.
