A Study On The Affixes In Laiwu Dialect

Affixation is an important word-building form in Chinese, to study the affixes in one dialect can disclose the basic features of this dialect to a certain extent. Meanwhile, as an open system, Chinese affix is always developing, some new one is developed and some will disappear.Based on Laiwu dialect, this dissertation undertakes to conduct a comprehensive collection, systemization and research of some important affixes, study their usage, combining their usage in history and a few other dialects summarizes its explicated characteristic in Laiwu dialects."Introduction" concerned with the significance and purpose of this research, the methodology of the research, and the resources cited.In the first chapter, exhibits the study of the usage of the nouns and pronouns suffixes in laiwu dialect.these nouns suffixes include "Jia(家)","Men(们)","Zi(子)","Tou(头)","Si(厮)","Han(汉)". According to their different usage went classification.The second chapter, in this chapter some verbs suffix such as "Da(打)","Cha(查)", "Deng(登)","Huo(侯)'',"Luo(罗)","Sa(�'')","Wai(歪)","" Song(送)"Sang(丧)"and" Chi(哧)" will be researched. Verbs suffix of word-formation obviously, they often has strong ability of word-formation one-syllable verbs, and after additional combinations to certain color significance. This chapter is divided into four sections, according to their different usage and function.The third chapter, adjective suffix. This chapter enumerated the adjective suffix in Laiwu dialect. Divided into two kinds,the single syllable and many syllable suffix, This chapter is divided into two sections, first part for single syllable suffix, the second quarter is multi-syllable suffix.The forth chapter, presents the study of the usage of some affixes for wide usage,inclouding "Bai(巴)","You悠","Liu溜,""Suo(索),""Yue(约)","Hel(�'�)"and "Hel(乎)","Leng((楞)","Fa(发)","Gul(�'�)".As wide use suffixes," Ba(巴)"is offen used as noun, adjective or verbal suffices., and the rest used as adjective and verbal suffixes.In this chapter,the usage of them will be described.The fifth chapter, prefix and midfix. The number of prefixes and midfixes is small, so their role of word-formation in Laiwu dialect is not as obvious as that of suffixes. This chapter is divided into two sections; the first part is for prefix and the rest for midfixes.Finally is the conclusion for this dissertation. Characteristics of suffixes in Laiwu dialect will be analyzed in this chapter.
