"what do you teach? how do you teach?" is a core issue in the vocabulary teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Therefore, the selection of vocabulary on textbooks and how do teachers teach vocabulary is very important.The Paper is based on level Chinese series and is chosen from the integrated textbook of level 1, 2, 3and 4, the objects of study are all based on glossary of the textbooks. compared and analyzed vocabulary of the same level between my object of study and the Syllabus of Long Term further studies for overseas students, finding problems and analyzing reasons from the syllabus of Long Term further studies for overseas students through the quantity of vocabulary, the level of vocabulary. seeking the compiling strategy of this syllabus and advices of using the syllabus. expecting the research I submitted be the valuable references and good suggestions or advices for users and authors.Firstly, the level evaluation comparison was completed respectively on the vocabulary of level 1, 2, 3, and 4 from integrated textbook. Problems on quantity of vocabulary and the covering of vocabulary from different level in the textbooks was pointed out by the analyzing of percentage chart of each textbooks.Secondly, suggestions that enlarge vocabulary and change content of textbooks, balance distribution of vocabulary and reduce the proportion of vocabulary above the syllabus were proposed to revise textbooks, owing to lacking of vocabulary, unevenly distributed vocabulary and much more vocabulary exist above the syllabus.Finally, it is recommended that users could use the way of word category and the way of comparative meaning of words to expand vocabulary of textbooks and reduce words beyond the syllabus in vocabulary teaching. Meanwhile, the way of cultural association and the way of audiovisual will make exchanging of Chinese culture more lively and easy to accept.
