After four years'study for the French, I became interested in the problems situated in the French teaching in China. Through the observation and investigation, I found that French teachers focus usually on the explication of syntax and the accumulation of vocabulary, that is to say, they pay more attention to the transmission of language knowledge, but the concept of"culture"has often been ignored. As all known that language and culture are getting close and that there is no one language can be divorced from their culture. However, in the French teaching the target focus often on the language knowledge and the cultural knowledge is still lacking. Thus we have to ask: if we ignore the culture, can we master the language skills proficient? Thus, the purpose of this paper is to present the principles about the intercultural communication in French teaching and to seek for the adequate practices of culture instruction on the basis of the principles. It elaborates the necessary sides of the combination of the intercultural communication and the French language by analyzing their relation and then puts forward the practices and methods by which intercultural communication teaching can combine with foreign language teaching. Thus, learning French culture should become an important part of French learning. Therefore, teachers need to introduce French culture in the teaching to students, to make their awareness of cross-cultural, and to avoid the communicative errors.
