The Artistic Expression Of The Cartoon Character Used In TV Commercials

The birth of animation had multi-relationship with advertisement. The first Chinese animation made by Wan's Three Brothers was the Shuzhendong Chinese Typewriter in 1922. With the development of society and the high popularity of television, different kinds of animation techniques were used by TV Commercials.Based on actualities which domestic cartoon characters were applied in the TV Commercials, the article researched on the basic specialties of cartoon characters and the design of TV Commercials, and suggested the application of cartoon character will help the artistic expression of TV Commercials. The article used the literature research method, case analysis method and comparison method to analyze the facts, and discussed the further possibilities which the cartoon characters could do. By several examples, the article were trying to explore the space of cartoon character application in the TV Commercials.
