Junior High School Students Easy Shame Tendency Relationship With The Family Environment

False shame which is also known as shame-proneness can cause all kinds of psychological problems, and previous surveys show that it's related to family environment. According to this fact, the thesis adopts ESS and FES-CV and conducts a survey among 566 junior middle school students. The study mainly focuses on the characteristic of their shame-proneness and family environment including dominant and recessive aspect, and the relationship between shame- proneness and family environment. Finally, it comes to the following conclusions:1,There is significant difference in gender, grades and age of shame- proneness:Female's sense of body shame-proneness is stronger than the male's, but weaker in family shame-proneness; the body shame-proneness,behavior shame-proneness and the whole shame-proneness are all increased rapidly in 9th grade; the body shame-proneness and the whole shame- proneness are increased as the age rising.2,There is significant difference in gender and grades of the recessive family environment:Male's scales are higher than female in Achievement Orientation (AO),Active-Recreational Orientation (ARO),Moral -Religious Emphasis (MRE) and Control but lower in Conflict; Conflict and AO increase as the grade rising, but Intellectual-Cultural Orientation (ICO) and Control go to the opposite.3,There is significant difference in different dominant family environment:Remarried family can cause more personality shame-proneness and the whole shame-proneness, while the one-parent family can cause more family shame-proneness.4,The recessive family environment are significantly associated with shame-proneness.5,Shame-proneness is mainly influenced by Conflict,Organization,AROand Expressiveness.Personality shame-proneness is mainly influenced by Conflict,Organization,ARO.Behavior shame-proneness is mainly influenced by Organization,Conflict, ARO,AO.Body shame-proneness is mainly influenced by Organization,Cohesion and Expressiveness.Family shame-proneness is mainly influenced by Cohesion and Conflict.
